2000 Caterpillar 950G with 235 original one owner hours!
$120,000
Why would you pay so much for a 10 year old machine?
Consider the alternatives
Buy a new machine! That will set you back at least another $100,000. I have not priced a new loader lately but I think this is an accurate guess. If I am wrong please feel free to correct me.
Buy a used 950G series II. Gain up to five model years but after you own it for 10-15 years what does that matter? Think about the machines you own that are 20 years old. Is it the year that dictates their value or the condition? Every machine is valued on its condition once it is 4-5 years old. Take it to the extreme, what is the difference between a 1975 and a 1985 loader? Nothing, as long as the systems are consistent which of course the 2000 950 is with a 2005.
Buy a bargain at the auction for $35,000 and rebuild it. What would you spend to rebuild a 2000 950G to "As New" specs? $100k would be a miracle unless you personally performed the labor yourself!
Find another lower priced 235 hour or less machine. Well, I suppose that is possible but how much time do you have? I have been watching used 950 loaders for over a year and not seen one like this yet.
Have you ever bought a machine that was 10 years old and new?
You may have but chances are you haven't even considered it before because they just don't come on the market that often. With over 35 years in asset sales experience I have determined that trading in "commodities" (every day average condition machines) is far too competitive and in a market such as the one we are in today can result in severe losses. For over 8 years I have been specializing in extremely well kept, low hour, unique equipment. For 10 years prior to that I also applied this philosophy to luxury and exotic automobiles. Trading in only the finest and most rare low mileage vehicles. I tell you this to help you gain a different perspective on this loader.
Think about the life of a machine. After several thousand hours of use there could be as many as a 100 mechanics or maintenance techs touch and work on it. Since we all agree that as humans perfection is one of our least likely qualities did every worker perform his or her job flawlessly? What about the quantity of operators? How many different people have run one machine after 2000 hours? Don't forget the truck drivers, mechanics, lube/oil person, wash guy, and of course the operator. Who likely doesn't have a dime invested in the machine. Starting to get the picture?
What does that have to do with this machine?
The machine we are offering you here is completely original. It is original paint, original tires, original everything! After a very close and detailed inspection we have verified it has never been disassembled or rebuilt in any way. It is just the way it came off the production line. It was and is currently stored inside. It has never been washed! That is correct, this machine is completely original and since it is so well preserved I will not even wash it unless the buyer wants us to. No chances for any previous individuals to have forgot something while working on it. No surprises what so ever. We even have all of the parts and service manuals that came with the machine.
I would consider it if you were closer to my location.
First let me tell you that we sell 97% of our inventory from descriptions, pictures, and videos. I don't like surprises and I know you don't either. It is another reason we trade in rare low use machines such as this. We have complete confidence in them. The older and more use a machine has on it the more likely there are hidden issues. We can deliver this machine to you very cost effectively and encourage you to not let this loader slip through your hands over that issue! Obviously being located in Florida gives us an advantage is shipping. We have several ports for international sales and since we don't produce anything in Florida (the entertainment state) getting machinery shipped out of here is cheap! Trucks are always looking for loads leaving Florida. Give us a try, you'll be surprised at the rates!
There can be only one!
I only have one of these! When it is sold there will not be any more. It was purchased new by the US Fish and Wildlife and it was the only machine they bought like it. Here are the options it was ordered with:
