1942 Prewar Civilian Ford 1/2 ton Pickup

$1,675.00

A VERY rare 1942 Ford 1/2 ton pickup. 1942 was the last year you could buy a civilian vehicle until 1947. There are no 1943-1946 civilian pickups! There are VERY few, (I've heard less than 300) 1942s. You can tell by the Ford script on the hood, it's pot metal, the 1947 trucks look the same but have "Ford" stamped in the hood.

This truck was given to me when I was 10 years old, it stopped running when I was 15, which is 27 years ago! Yes, there is a fair amount of sentimental value, but as I mentioned before I have decided to clean house and this truck takes up a ton of room in the warehouse. When I wake up in the morning I want to spend time with my family and friends, not this old truck! It's someone else's turn to take care of it.

If you look at the pictures you will notice that it looks VERY rusty, but as you study them closely you'll see that it's not serious rust, it's surface rust. The truck spent it's life before me in South Dakota, I've kept it inside since. If you looked for 10 years you couldn't find another 1942, yes, that is a challenge by the way! If you find another let me know. I did not keep the title up and also lost it a few years after it quit running. So there is NO TITLE! Remember, I was a kid with other priorities, like driving that Kenworth W900 with a 2 stick 4x4 transmission!

The pictures will tell the rest of the story as far as it's condition goes, enjoy them, I have and will as much as having the truck in storage. Maybe MORE!

Thanks for looking at a piece of my history and good luck!
